The Brussels-based Concert Noble is currently hosting SMEunited’s 45th anniversary conference, titled “Vision 2040 by Crafts & SMEs.” Representatives of European business organizations, EU institutions, and policymakers have gathered to discuss the future role of small and medium-sized enterprises in Europe’s economy.
The conference focuses on how SMEs can contribute to building a sustainable, innovative, and resilient Europe. High-level speeches and panel discussions address long-term challenges related to digitalization, the green transition, and entrepreneurial competitiveness.
During the event, SMEunited also held its presidential election. Outgoing president Petri Salminen stepped down, and member organizations elected Davide Galli from the Italian Confartigianato as the new president, who will lead the representation of Europe’s crafts and SME sector in the coming period.
Hungary is represented by László Németh, president of the National Federation of Craftsmen’s Corporations (IPOSZ), and Tamás Rettich, the organization’s international chief advisor. As a key advocate for Hungary’s craft and small-business sector, IPOSZ actively contributes to European professional dialogue and SMEunited’s strategic processes.
The invitation-only event concludes in the early evening, while the Vision 2040 process will continue in the months ahead to shape a common strategic direction for European small enterprises.
